Subject: Re: How well does cottonwood burn?

East Kansas, DeSoto
In 1951 a wet year and had help that could not use so went to timber and cut choice cottonwood trees. Sawed, planed and air dried and bullet a home 81 foot front and 55 foot . Sheeting , rafters, studs, floor joiceand all was cottonwood. Some 30 years later the present owner wondered what kind of hardwood I used ? So hard on his tools. Yes it can be tough and on the hardwood order. Gifford
