Fruita CO
Out here in the CO mountains, you have basically 2 choices for firewood-pine, which is fairly plentiful, or aspen, which is all over the place...a local rancher used to run a guide business for elk hunters, & one year he had a character from back east somewhere, Tennessee I think, rich dude they called "The Judge"- I dunno if he was really a judge or not, but he turned up his nose at the firewood, said it was no good, didn't burn long enough, yada yada yada...anyway, next year, a whole pallet of oak firewood shows up on a truck about a month before hunting season, courtesy of the Judge...to be used only when he was at the camp...Sheezzz!!!
