So I called our pumpman at lunch time, he told me it was ok to use broom to clean them off. His reply was "Dude they are made out of glass" I think you'll be ok cleaning them off, you got to get pumping.
He likened it to, so they say your not to use a stiff bristled toothbrush, yet I've been doing for 60 years now.
