Update, my CIH tech didn't quite know how to get the planter Firmware onto my UD+ but by tapping knuckles on the screen of the malfunctioning UD+ he got it to intermittently work enough to operate it at least temporarily!
haha, good deal. Percussive maintenance is a pretty common technique with those displays...
