| When I was a kid before we changed how we did it the yearly pivot irrigation service when they all had the round expansion breather on the top. 13 systems from 7 to 12 towers. Pull the plug that stink water drain out replug pull the fill plug top up box repeat with other box and center drive. Replace breather if it was bad check the knuckles for too much flop. Fill the tires. I don’t think I ever got through a system that didn’t need a tire change, at least one gearbox, and didn’t have somewhere the cows ripped a wire out of the holder or worse the center drive. If it was a Lockwood tension the guide wires make sure it didn’t have too much build up on them. | |
