| Their is an activation and firmware update you must get for the 2010 8R's, and it is free, the Deere part of it anyway. They did have to push some software which required them to plug in, resulting in a service charge.
Explanation the AMS guy gave me is the 2010 8R's have lots of leftover parts from the 30 series in them, so while Automation does work, it does take a few extra steps to get Automation going than anything newer.
In the end, I think it was worth it and was very impressed with the job it did. Makes me more comfortable with the idea of getting an autonomous tractor in a few years.
