| thought the 40 years of loyalty to your dad extended to you. Perhaps the neighbor thought your dads career was coming to an end and he had as much right to compete for the land as you do.
I may be wrong in my assumptions but I always remind people that leases are a temporary contract and one should not assume anything more than the terms of the contract. There is no permanency guaranteed or implied. I don't believe you have any legitimate grevience against anyone. NOt the land lord. Not the neighbor, not anybody.
I am well aware of your disappointment but such is life in the business world. I would not pursue the matter any further. Seek other opportunities. Learn from your dad. He knows how form and cultivate a long term partnership.. | |
