Have used grill mates on some but usually make my own.
Mop is just 1/2 beer 1/2 apple juice with worcestershire and soy souce.
Rub is 1 cup brown sugar(I know they say dont use it will burn never had any problems) 1 green chile 1/2 cup chile powder 1tbs cayaenne pepper, some ground black pepper 1/2 tsp ground cumin 1 tbs oregano leaves 1 tsp garlic. I use hedge wood, cherry wood or apple wood. Never muskeet and not usually hikery. We dont like ours that smokey. I dont smoke over 220 deg and for about 6 to 8 hours. I mop alot and wrap after 3 hours. Cheating again. I put a little barbaque sauce on with 45 mins to go. Then always put them in a brown paper bag and let them rest for 30 to 45 mins.
