Subject: Good advice

Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska
You have to put yourself in the landlords shoes. Since they live a long ways away they really don't know what is going on...with you moving to town and etc. I would say if you had kept them informed that you were going to get married, move to town, and your Dads health is what it used to be, that you were planning on taking over the farm, this would not have happened.
I know it is easy to go along and assume they know how things are but I have found regular e-mails about crop planting and growing conditions, (they love having pictures of their farm sent to them). And, even information on agriculture news in general is appreciated. They don't get to hear or see much about any of our area out here from their news coverage.
I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I would contact them and explain the situation. It may or may not help but you have nothing to lose.
