Subject: RE: Debt, finance, and mathmatics

Rivers, MB
I think its because people will always respond with most fervor when it comes to issues/questions that are the most near and dear to their heart. To many, politics, religion, and finances top that list. I also think that financial stress (bad debt, no job etc) is probably one of the most stressful things that a person can face after death of a family member and personal health. Therefore, financial decisions have alot of baggage for many people. also, many of us were raised by parents or had grandparents that came from a country where they had lost everything or lived through the Depression. That had a lasting effect on all their decisions, even if the math indicated otherwise.

I would agree with you, almost all financial decisions come down to math decisions. However, I have chosen to try to have no personal debt. Business debt I have no problem with as long as the math makes sense. I like the security have no personal debt.
