I would not be without my finger tills! I ran trials a few years ago and the finger tills were the best. I didn’t have furrow cruisers in my testing, I’ve heard a lot of people really like them. I plant into rye that is 5’ tall and they didn’t wrap any worse than any other closing wheels I’ve used. I have yet to find a field condition that they won’t do an acceptable job in. They are probably overkill for conventional tillage though. As you said, they’re expensive but I love them for no till and planting green.
