Central Illinois - west of Peoria
fore runner to the modern day track loader - the one I saw had a set of rails going up the front of the machine and used a winch affair to raise the arms . the bucket was trip- style . In its day it was probably state of the art cause they were still using horses and slip-scoops. My guess is Hydraulics were widely accepted after that .
