One's a backup, I would guess. I wouldn't worry about them unscrewing, either. For them to unscrew more than a hair, the tube would have to look like a coil spring under the sink, which it won't. There's no flared flange to tighten against like JIC hydraulic fittings, and the o-rings seal it, so just thread them in by hand as snug as you can and hook it up.
