northeast ohio | We have a 7140 that until last year was a 750 WAAS with an EZPilot and FieldIQ Raven Replacement. 90% of its workload was pulling a sprayer. The steering was excellent, however you needed to be moving forward and at a reasonable angle (<45 deg) to engage. Last spring we planned to use it more for planting, so upgraded to a TMX2050 display with RTK. It’s a much better screen for seed monitoring. If you were not already running a 20/20 then this would be a nice option to consider.
We also swapped out the EZPilot IMD600 for a NAV3 to make it an autopilot motor drive by keeping the SAM200 motor as the steering device. This is a huge upgrade with regards to line acquisition. Highly recommend this setup if an operator has any trouble completing turns accurately or engaging while moving. One thing we did with the NAV, based upon AgTalk advice, is mount it under the seat rather than on the left side.
We bought one of these brackets used off of AgTalk classifieds. It worked nicely for mounting not only the display, but TM200, planter clutch control box, rate and section module, sprayer boom controls and a tray for a phone as a hotspot.
