Subject: RE: Putting a used bin on a hopper

SC Kansas
If I might disagree a bit. We’ve lifted three 18’ bins onto cones. Lifting from the center. Moved 1 mile. Cones bolted down. Hired a local roofer/ handy man to help because he can climb around like a fly. He was inside the cone pushing bolts through. He was key. We started lifting the bins and a local welder brought his plasma cutter and cut the bins loose. Probably 6-8” up. The pressure of the sidewalls to “egg” in was more than anticipated. If I was doing another I would brace the bin more from the inside. We did egg one bin taking through a ditch. I have my receipts somewhere but it was no where near the cost of a new bin. But I’m cheap and enjoyed the challenge.
