Iowa | On our off brand self propelled sprayer it would be nice to get the booms to raise faster. What’s the best/easiest way to do this? With the hydraulically run solution pump running and engine at idle you can push the boom up switch and they will not raise/move until you give the engine rpm (mechanical drive so high engine rpm constantly is not an option). Without the solution pump running they go up and down at a reasonable speed. Is there a way to increase flow or pressure to help this? We have already raised relief pressure a little. Can we somehow plumb the solution pump inline so that it uses the outlet hydraulic flow from that motor to also help supply the boom cylinders along with the current oil supply? Essentially trying to eliminate the solution pump from robbing from the system and slowing the booms down? Any ideas or input are appreciated! Thanks | |
