Half our bins were put in in the mid to late 60's, they should never wrinkle due to age. Yes base angles can go bad and cause the bottom sheet to roll, happened to a neighbor with pop corn once. Don't know what a standard warranty would be on a bin or if something was mis speced on yours. Unless you have stirrers in there I can't imagine wet corn by it self hurting a bin, as long as it was dry when it came out.
