mercer county, il | 8970s are differen, they’re a kinda goofy electronically controlled pump, maybe a Bosch? Have their own little ecm.
But they can be converted over to a strictly mechanical pt pump pretty easily, pretty much the throttle cable and some brackets and such like an 8960. Only been around a few, but it seems that setup is prohibitively expensive to repair, so most get made mechanical.
