As someone who has operated both systems, although I did not use the ez steer with my 500, I would second getting another JD system. I used to get several phone calls from my dad every spring when he was using the 500. When I switched him out to the JD system, I get 1-2 calls a year at most. This way your documentation will all be on the same platform as well It's probably going to be his choice. Either buy the EZ-Steer and use our satellite and EZ500 we already have, or I could pull the 2630 & 3000 globe off the combine (not using at burndown time anyway) and move it once a year to the tractor. Would just need an ATU and would put a harness in tractor and leave permanent. EZ steer would be a little cheaper but not by very much. Thanks for the answers, everyone. |
