you're getting plenty of gas, where's the air? there's usually a shutter on the burner that lets air mix with gas, will have a small screw to lock it in place, make sure that is open as far as possible and the gas orifice near that is clear and clean.
I'd check the blower wheel also, remove the blower so you can see the wheel is clean, intact, doesn't have to be perfect just has to be there and no mouse nests inside it. Then look down the center tube also, probably has a spiral you'll have to pull out to see, if the spiral comes out and goes back in then you don't really have to look.
The water not getting hot could be just the way the control system is set up, pumps heat out faster than it heats, fine if it's burning right and not rusting out from condensation.
What codes are you getting?
It's a venting problem. The lazy horizontal flame coming out the side of the burner should be pulled upward by the air being drawn up toward the water tank and to the chimney. |
