NE Iowa | I sat down a half an hour ago to catch up on my stack of mail. My boy sat down and fired the TV up and the World Cup happened to be on. Neither of us like watching soccer but hey, it’s the USA so we better just watch a bit. After watching this last 30-40 minutes I can honestly say that this could be, no, this is the worst sporting event to ever be broadcast. Absolutely boring. The best part is the penalty card system. It’s hilarious. An official runs out waiving a colored card. It’s like a recess duty teacher getting after the kids for getting a little rough with each other.
This is just my opinion though. I follow the Mike Ditka line of thinking though. Mike once said “if God intended man to play soccer he wouldn’t have given us arms.”
