Subject: RE: Radial drive tires on combines?

Southern Pa.
Radials all day, everyday on a combine.

We have a 9660 on 900 radials. When we first looked at it, it had 800 radials on the drives, and 18.4x26 steers. The former owner from Kansas ran an 8 row head and a 625F on those tires. They just looked too small, and since we are 100% notill, we want to keep compaction to a minimum.

We went with 900 radial drives, and 28L26 steers. I'd have liked 750 radials on the rear, but we got a great deal on the 28L26 tires/rims. The 900 drives tires/rims came off an '18 S770 combine that someone switched to duals.

I really wouldn't want anything smaller, especially on the drives.
