NE Ohio | I have a smaller operation and have been having trouble with custom sprayers - not many around and getting them to show up in a timely fashion keep getting worse.
Looked at the options between pull-type, 3 pt and SP. Ended up going the SP route. Yes, it's one more engine & hydraulic system, but a 5.9 is rugged and easy to maintain. Was cheaper to get an older Rogator that was already well set up for spraying plus had guidance and boom controllers than to buy a sprayer (3PT or pull behind), convert tractor to narrow tire, add guidance, etc. Plus, now have a system that can be used burn-down through taller crops. just food for thought.
