north central Iowa, Hampton | I used a 3 point for years. Slower than a self-propelled for sure, but do-able.
We had tanks on a tractor already so used those to feed the boom. Later added another tank on the 3 point itself for added capacity.
Our spray bar had a hitch, so it was possible to pull a nurse trailer out to the field. We're flat, so hills may make that quite a bit less safe. I don't think I'd like to spray with all the weight on the 3 point, but that would be faster to set up if you're not already installing tanks.
