Now I’m gonna hurt some feelings here… granted everything breaks down but if you are not colorblind there are pieces of equipment from different manufacturers that have a track record of being reliable with not much more then basic maintenance needed. Try to shoot to buy those pieces of equipment within your budget…

I have farmed for 50 some years. I am amazed at how few times I have had problems that involved the inside of an engine or back half of tractor. There is something to picking things that have few problems. Self inflicted, I have done my share of those.

And the line in the engineering book that says how little you need to lower the load on a driveline and the life of the driveline triples. So, I am not much for cranking on the fuel delivery screw.
