Basic maintenance and some in depth stuff. Far as tearing into a motor, transmission or electrical… have a shop do it. We farm without a shop so it’s not practical to do it. Doing in depth work is something I would like to do one day once a shop comes. Then I would have time to tinker and learn how to do it.

Now I’m gonna hurt some feelings here… granted everything breaks down but if you are not colorblind there are pieces of equipment from different manufacturers that have a track record of being reliable with not much more then basic maintenance needed. Try to shoot to buy those pieces of equipment within your budget…

I’ll do basic maintenance on my pickup but everything else I send it to a buddy with a shop. It’s not worth my time to mess around with it
