210 Industrial Dr., Arlington Wisconsin 53911 | Thought I would share what fixes those plastic cog wheel shut offs that are always stuck on Deere 7200 and newer chain wheel drive planters. Over time when in the on position the two tulip shaped rods that engages the hub drive wear a grove in the plastic wheel. I take a die grinder and bring back the slope. It can be done on the planter but best when wheel is off that today I was packing bearings. The pictures show what I mean. The one with the deep groove is to far gone but it doesn’t take much to make them stick. A shot of spray graphite helps keep down the wear You won’t believe how easy they work when that slope is brought back.
