What would you replace it with though?
That is what I am saying. Cab and chassis are just as crazy. But? Tractors are just as crazy too. Who ever thought a 4430 with 8500 hours would sell for $22,900.00? Especially. Since ours was delivered Brand New, 0 hours with duals and a quick hitch for $23,000.00, in 1977. But? To add to that? I bought my first semi tractor used in 1979. It was a 1974 IH Transtar II. It had 232,000 miles on it. I bought it for $12,500.00. It has long since been sold. But? I still have the paperwork for it. What I am saying? If we are going to be willing to pay these ridiculous prices? Why on earth wouldn't they keep charging them? It isn't like we all don't know that because commodity prices are up somewhat. We are not going to be gouged. I remember when our ex- governor Ventura said? "Quit buying it. The prices will come down". May be some truth to that.
