We have a 60 foot drill and tow behind cart and want to start using semi trailers to fill drill this spring. I don’t wanna have to fold wings up to do it if possible. Dealer sells a KSI hopper extension for the conveyor on the cart and was wondering if anyone has experience with that? Or is the best/easiest method to use the Brandt style field loaders? Trailer has remote openers on it.

Have filled lots of 57-60’ drills with TBH carts and the airseeder hoppers on the cart augers/conveyors. Haven’t used a KSI extension before, but if it works like the airseeder extension for the conveyor works, you’ll be fine. Biggest thing is jack-knifing the cart and toolbar when you park, so you can drive right past the wing with lots of room to line up. I would recommend splitting a Super B or using a tridem - have done it all with a full super B before, just a bit more work to get lined up straight. Easier with two people if using a short trailer, so they can help get auger/conveyor started under the trailer while you roll ahead. It doesn’t take much practice to hit all 3 tanks from 2 hoppers on a Super B/tridem with 3 hoppers.

I’m moving towards a mobile auger only because they’re cheaper and easier to maintain than the auger on the cart, and have more uses. I sold the conveyor off my cart, if cart ever gets traded I will put the auger/conveyor from the newer one on my old one - my conveyor was pretty tough shape, all new stainless parts for it would cost the same as a 10x41 load out auger with a 37 hp Engine and mover kit.

How do you handle moving the conveyor from the front tank to the back one? Just a long spout and have conveyor in middle of tanks? Or move conveyor to each tank?
