Ok thanks for that.

I will say though that the posts where governments are saying their experts have determined “x” result or their study has shown “x” result are almost always on par for accuracy, accountability and trustworthiness as a blogger that posts links to researchers articles who found the opposite results. Likewise, almost all of the researchers on the commonly allowed sides of arguments have a financial incentive also. In fact, those researchers that speak against the commonly allowed belief are often targets for financial harm for speaking out, not rewarded.

Also, the level of expertise and experience of the researchers, not the bloggers or news source quoting them, on both sides of issues are usually very, very similar. Very few, if any, people post a bloggers opinion. Sometimes people post an opinion of an expert but that is generally the best that either side can do at the moment. That is why the “science” keeps changing. Every expert is trying their best to figure it out. Or at least they should be. The problem is when a scientist, or politician, believes his opinion is settled science and can not be discussed.
