+1 on B& R.
I like the Calmer gathering chain slow-down kit. Less trash enters the head, especially if you cut the "windows" on the stalk roll flutes. They will tell you which ones to cut and how much. The slow-down sprocket for the auger is good too, lessens the number of ears getting tossed back out.
