N Central IA | The question is how long ago in the past did he change it? I have machines I sample yearly and all of a sudden you will have one with high wear properties show up, change the oil and next years sample is back to normal. It would be nice to have more history and what exactly is considered high, it might just have triggered the high reading. Just looked at some from CAT and it appears below 700 ppm is caution and above 700 ppm is action required. I would pull the filter and look if it’s normal I wouldn’t be afraid of it at all.
