When I worked at the steel mill there was a type of deal where we got 4 “bonus days” a year. Once you used up all your Bonus days if you were late I’d called off you lost your bonus for that week. The way we were paid your bonus made up roughly 1/2 your pay each week so it was pretty costly. Bonus days were essentially our version of sick days, but they were unpaid.
(I’d use a couple bonus days each year to plan or harvest if the weather was perfect and the extra person at home was going to make a big difference. Problem was with that they’d track them for like 4 years and take that into account when you applied for a new position) |
