Subject: RE: How firm are dealer prices on used vehicles

Eastern Iowa
Just traded a 2008 Chevrolet for a new 2023 Chevrolet last week. Looked like dealer had a fair amount of new vehicles on hand ( kind of a steady flow coming in) and lots of used stuff in the lot.
From what I see dealers are still working off of list price on new stuff with a few discounts from GM. I got 500.00 for military veteran discount and another 500.00 off for customer loyalty or something like that and that was it with out getting the owner in a head lock! I couldn’t even get them too include the 2 front mud flaps in the deal that they added $100.00 to the bill for them! Also they were pretty soft on the price of my trade. Like said they are spoil
And this will continue until the lots get full and people slow down the buying.
