New Enterprise,Pa.
Norway Spruce. I planted a couple thousand back between 1999-2008 for windbreaks and have had practicully no loss. The only major loss was not from disease but one windbreak was almost completely destroyed in the seedling year from voles girdling the trees during a winter that had deep snow. Have also planted white pine, douglas fir and blue spruce and they have all suffered a fair amount of loss. And those Norway's are over 30 feet tall now. This is in southcentral Pa. so might have different results in our parts of the country.
