Agent Orange: Friendly fire that keeps on burning.

OK, makes sense now.
As it turns out, the folks that spend the most time worrying about range anxiety in EVs are the ones that don't have, nor will they ever have a Tesla. Actual Tesla owners spend little time worrying about it. Big screen in the center of the dash has a small lightning bolt icon that when pressed will show available stations in the range of your battery's current charge. Map shows distance to charger and real time info on available stalls. If you tap on one of the locations, the car will plot a route and guide you turn - by- turn to the station. Now having said that, it is not to say that some will run their battery completely flat and be in need of service. If you call Tesla, they will dispatch a roll-off truck to haul your dead car to a charger because it is highly discouraged to tow a Tesla. That service is not free though and it certainly includes a lot of hassle. But that's OK because stupid is supposed to be painful. I kinda liken the whole deal to guys with diesel pickups squeezing the last possible mile out of their tank and ending up with a dead pickup on the side of the road. Many pickups are not as simple as just dumping in 5 gal of fuel either. Can involve a new boost and/or injection pump. Again, stupid should hurt.
