Technically no. You can charge off your wall outlet (120v or 240v), but it'll be slower. Off a 120v outlet you're looking at up to 6 miles of range per hour of charging depending on the model of car. 240v outlet is up to 30 miles per hour of charging depending on the car and outlet. https://www.tesla.com/support/home-charging-installation/mobile-conn...

Practically you'll install a residential charger in your garage that will run off hard wired 240v. With up to 60 amp service you're closer to the 40 miles per hour charge range. https://www.tesla.com/support/home-charging-installation/wall-connec...

So say if you were to use a 120v outlet and charge your car overnight (12 hours?) you're only looking at gaining 72 miles of range at the most. With a 60 amp service wall charger you'd likely top up an empty battery in about 5 hours (assuming 200 mile range).

All of this varies with the brand and model of vehicle, but generically these numbers should be reasonably close.
