It was probably 25 or 30 years ago when I was thinking about a new machinery purchase. Don't remember what it was but my son's question was, "Will it pencil?" I've been pretty lucky or fortunate with my businesses so I was able to tell him that it didn't necessarily need to pencil. All it needed to do was cash-flow. Do you see the difference? 
Seems more than a few here that buy and drive nice sporty cars, indulge in a resto-mod classic muscle car, restored tractor, motorcycles, fancy guns, and a whole host of other things. Do you really have the time to put a pencil to all of those guys' purchases? Why are you triggered by an EV that someone you don't even know buys?
