Our green leaf lettuce price went from $24 a case to $61. Our supplier told us one growing area had soil fungus problems that was affecting the plants, so they were harvesting earlier to avoid problems, thus the smaller heads.
He said the lettuce production was moving to a new area (Yuma, AZ) so should improve the supply and price.
