I'll have to look and see if there's anything on the tails. I think he was a team roper, as these are not soft at all. I'm not sure what his son did as far as heading or heeling, just that he roped in rodeos. I could tie the tail around the loops to keep them contained, but they are definitely a lot stiffer than my old sisal hay ropes here.
My friend's grandsons now do rodeo. They live by Kissimmee/St Cloud, Florida. And his son has a farrier service there. He's worked for some big name riders down there.
