Nagambie | I am in Victoria, (sth east Australia) the excessive rain throughout October has had a huge detrimental effect on the Aus winter crops, coming during grain fill or just before harvest depending on location. Personally, I am looking at about a 50% reduction in canola and 40% wheat loss from what was looking like a once in a lifetime crop. Large areas of crop on the eastern grain belt will not be harvested but where crops have not been flooded or are on better drained soil there will be some thumping yields. Dont know much of what is happening in Western Australia, but from what I can gather, it must be pretty good over there.
