Starbuck Manitoba Canada
Snodgrass had mentioned the very high moisture levels in Australia for several weeks. If their wheat is anything like ours, it does not handle rain well.
We have started a harvest with 63# wheat then rains set in and keep us out of the fields for a few weeks. By the time we can get it off the test weight is down to 54#-56# so in essence we have lost over 10% of our production. Rain leaches the weight out of it to the point it is only good for feed.
The Spring wheat price should hold up like it did compared to Chicago wheat on Friday.
