NW Missouri | Who said I got along so well before?
I'm a young(ish) farmer trying to grow my operation. You have to have a land base to be a farmer and this is my second farm. Seems like if you're in this business, and a piece of ground comes up for sale that joins you, you ought to see if you can figure out a way to buy it, and that is what I did.
It's urgent to do it now because now is when the owners decided to sell it. I did let it sit on the market a while, until they came down on the price some, but I wasn't willing to take a chance on waiting them out any longer. Once a damn investor gets ahold of ground in our area, it'll be 1031 exchanged every few years from investor to investor and no one local will ever own it again. | |
