Subject: What happens when energy independence is reached???

So all the EV pushers say that putting up a solar array is the way to go, to completely eliminate their electric bill. I can't argue the concept, good business plan. But what happens when everyone has solar arrays and has eliminated their electric bill????? Ask yourselves What percentage of your local coop is residential, vs commercial. What happens when 25-50% of your local coops customers are no longer purchasing electricity but still think they need to be connected???

The SEC severely limits rate hikes here, it might take 5 years to get 1 rate increase approved, so to offset increased expenses they have meter charges. So again, when the electricity purchased go down, yet the local coop has to still provide lines to your house, what do you think will happen???? Huge increases in meter charges, until the base rate can increase. The other thing is here, they have to sign off on your install, so it's entirely possible your solar install would never be allowed to be hooked up to the grid, which is fine but you'll need tons more batteries to be able to charge up that EV at night.
