It wasn't that long ago that people wanted a good paying railroad job, but now people are getting burned out. Companies that can manage a nationwide train network should be able to maintain decent work schedules for their employees. If they can't then maybe they've gotten too big and should be broken up into smaller railroads again.


Big, small doesn't matter, when the train comes in, it's got to move, regardless off the time of day. Fact is people are lazy and no one wants to work now a days.


Nope. The fact is their on call schedule is absolutely horrible.

Railroad needs to learn people want a life outside of work. No one wants to be on call 24/7.

My understanding is this isn’t all about the money, it’s mostly about the time off.
