From what I have heard, they have earned better treatment. RR earned record profits while reducing labor 30%. No paid sick days, and ever higher health insurance give some a push to reject offer.
At the same time they have to recognize business limits. Autonomous trains can't be to far away if we have driverless taxis in San Francisco.
