Northeastern Pa. | I agree with razorsedge 100%. I've been a puller and fan since the 70's and there is no money in pulling except for parts vendors and builders. They are making new classes when they get beat or can't compete in a given class. Now with the high cost of fuel that just makes it worse. It cost the pullers more to travel, and it cost the promoter/club/fair way more to put the show on. Sled rental, food etc. has all gone up which pushes ticket prices up and it goes on and on. Like said a for profit company is in trouble for sure. I know pullers hate to compare to NASCAR but they're in trouble too. Lucus Oil was a huge promoter and I'm not sure who can match what they did. I'd rather promote a demo derby in our area. Way less overhead and the driver actually can make a buck with hardly any input cost vs. pulling. | |
