East Central Nebraska | I haven't gone out in a few years do to fur prices, but use to go out calling regularly. 90% of the time I went during the day. We use a electric caller that you can download calls into. We set the caller about a good 30 yards from the tree and usually try to hid a bit and nice if you can brace up on something to get a good shot. Wait till they are fully out of the hole or they will fall back in the hole. They will get educated to a call after a time or two. My brother-in-law and I just discussed this a couple days ago that we need to go out again. Way too many of them critters around and damage in the fields along the creek is bad. It works good. | |
