The deer almost wiped out our Black Hills spruce and Techny arborvitae when we planted them. They kept topping out the spruce, and munched on the arborvitae. So the spruce will only be a side dish for them.
We tried dryer sheets, dog hair from a groomer, both with some limited success. Finally the wife got some "Liquid Fence", and that stuff works!
