Subject: RE: fire wood

Center Valley Wisconsin
Running an early gasser,,,,,, Central Boiler Eclassic 2400.im a dealer for the past 18 years. 2400 is one of the furnaces many hated because they thought you could burn wet wood.
Wet wood doesn't work well in any manufacturers gasser outdoor furnace. Next furnace will be a 760hdx Central Boiler. They say wood should be below 20%. My opinion----wood should be less than 16%. I'll never go back to an old style furnace,, when you learn how to burn dry wood in a gasser the wood savings is huge. If time allows I will find a decent 2400 and rebuild it.
